The Steering Rack is a vital component of a vehicle’s steering system. It converts the rotational motion of the steering wheel into the linear motion that turns the wheels. Located at the front of the vehicle, it consists of a long bar with teeth (rack) that meshes with the steering pinion. As the steering wheel is turned, the pinion rotates and moves the rack, which in turn moves the wheels. A well-functioning steering rack ensures smooth, responsive handling and precise control.
